365 Days of Art: Day 174 – Drawing a Chocolate

The challenge: Create some form of visual art, no matter how small, each day for a full year.

The hotel I’m staying at left us a chocolate last night. Obviously, I needed to draw it, even though I’m allergic to chocolate. I struggled a bit with this one:

  • Chocolate seems to absorb light, and I had trouble figuring out how to shade each facet. They all looked the same shade of brown.
  • Never try to draw a chocolate that has been sprayed with gold dust/specs. It’s really hard to draw the specs.

Anyway, here it is:

Here is the actual chocolate:

Have a great evening, folks!
