365 Days of Art: Day 242 – Car Line Raven

The challenge: Create some form of visual art, no matter how small, each day for a full year.

Today, I worked out a bit more of the initial sketch of the raven while waiting in car line. You can see it below. My biggest worry: this thing is black. The reference photo is black and it’s hard to see the detail. I’m also not sure how I want to shade it. Do I make it mostly black, or do I lighten it up a tad so I can show the detail more? I think I will look at a few more images on Google for inspiration…
