365 Days of Art: Day 271 – Initial Orchid Sketch Laid Out

The challenge: Create some form of visual art, no matter how small, each day for a full year.

I finished the initial sketch of the orchids today in car line (and a little bit tonight while watching the Yankees). It’s definitely not where I wanted it to be originally on the paper. I encountered scale issues. However, if it was watercolors, I see a way to use salt in the left foreground area to make it looks more balanced. I’ve sketched in the leaves here, but I did it lightly because I don’t know if I will use them.
