365 Days of Art: Day 301 – Still Almost Done with the Rose

The challenge: Create some form of visual art, no matter how small, each day for a full year.

Between car line and waiting for Ellie’s dance classes to end, I got a lot of drawing done. I’m almost done with this Rose. I have just a bit of the last petal to finish and the stem and maybe some background.

Looking at the picture, there are a couple of areas I might aim to fix after the leaves and stem. I suspect some of my darker shadows, while technically correct in regards to value, look of in the drawing. I may lighten them. I also may darken some areas.
